Guide
A Kanban board is a good way to hand work to coding agents: each card is a self-contained job, the columns show where everything is, and you stay the one who decides what ships. This guide walks through the loop in YOLO Studio, from a sentence to a merged pull request.
Get startedCards move from Ready to Doing to Done. Ready is the queue the agents draw from.
One per workspace. It claims cards from Ready, starts an agent for each in its own lane, and records the outcome.
Each card’s agent works in its own git clone on its own branch, so parallel cards never share a working copy.
A code card counts as Done only once its commit has landed. Until then it stays in Doing, marked Awaiting merge.
Connect a GitHub repository and describe what you want done. It becomes cards, each with one outcome and its acceptance criteria.
Reorder cards, sharpen the vague ones and link dependencies. Move only what is genuinely ready into the Ready column.
In the Background Runner settings, choose Manual, PR + review, or Auto merge (limited to the branches you list). Optionally require Agent review, where a different model approves each result first.
Connect the board and choose Connect and start. Pick Drain once to stop when Ready is empty, or Standing to keep waiting for new cards. Up to four cards run at a time.
Finished code cards appear under Awaiting merge with a link to their pull request. Merge them and dependent cards start automatically.
Finish current, then pause stops new cards from starting while running ones finish. Cancel active work asks the running agents to stop. A card that needs a decision waits for you rather than guessing, and if Agent review asks for changes, nothing relies on that result until you choose Fix findings.
The Runner starts a coding agent for each card in its own lane. Workspaces come with Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI and OpenCode pre-installed.
Only if you choose Auto merge, and only into branches you allow. Any reviews your repository requires still apply.
Sign in with GitHub, open a workspace on your repository, and put your first agent to work in a few minutes.
